“Yes. I’ve been hired to… remove someone, you know?”
“Sorry to have bothered you then, love.” He probably should trying to stop her from completing the contract like normal, good people with moral compasses. Too bad he wasn’t quite in the mood. “Believe me, I understand.”
“Oh no, you’re fine.” She smiled at him assuringly. “I’ve been at this job for many many years. It is quite alright for me to take a detour. And look I’ve met you, such a nice man.”

“Honestly, I was in the middle of fulfilling a contract and I stumbled upon you.”
“Contract?”
“Yes. I’ve been hired to… remove someone, you know?”

“I’m D. It’s nice to meet you, Mr. Walker.”
“Likewise. What brings you here, D?”
“Honestly, I was in the middle of fulfilling a contract and I stumbled upon you.”

D fought back a hiss and forged a believable smile. “And since I’m so pleasured to be in your presence, I’d like to know a bit more about you, if you will. There must be a story behind that beautiful face.”
“Oh there is, but it’s rather boring. I’d much rather hear yours.” Ava redirected the conversation, curious about D. Something about the girl threw Ava off and she wasn’t happy about that.
“Oh I’m sure it’s very interesting, Ava.” She raised both brows. “Well I am a hunter and I’m verygood at what I do. Right now I’d say I’m taking it easy.”

D squinted her eyes a bit. “… Yes, well it’s nice to meet you, Ava.”
Ava looked at D more carefully before giving a smile. “It certainly is.”
D fought back a hiss and forged a believable smile. “And since I’m so pleasured to be in your presence, I’d like to know a bit more about you, if you will. There must be a story behind that beautiful face.”

“Lucas Walker, at your service. And who is that I’m speaking with today?”
“I’m D. It’s nice to meet you, Mr. Walker.”

“D.” She said simply. “And you?”
“That’s an awfully short name, D. I’m Ava.”
D squinted her eyes a bit. “… Yes, well it’s nice to meet you, Ava.”

{Whoever said life was beautiful, Was wrong}
Alone. That’s what he ever was, he might be able to compel any woman of his pleasing to love him but what good was that if it wasn’t true love. Hell his own mother did not love him and the only woman that did, gave him a second chance and she showed him how it really felt to feel loved. He had searched all over the world for her taking lives and breaking hearts in his path and who’s to say this town will be any different from others he’s passed. As he walked down along an ally way, his head soon turned to the side when he heard footsteps and his eyes flickered upon a woman. A beautiful woman and he wondered what she was doing out here at these hours of the night.
D drew in a long sigh, following the scent of who she believed to be her contract. Even in the thrilling moments her job was becoming mundane. Becoming mundane. She laughed at the thought. This particular town made her uncomfortable and she was just waiting to get her job done. She wanted to be done by dawn. In her travels she sensed another wandering presence, one who was possibly watching her. “Hello?”
